Founder Rhonda Holbert Santifer
Pastor Rhonda Holbert Santifer, M.Min. began Celebrate Life Cancer Ministry in December 2002 as a result of surviving breast cancer. Pastor Rhonda began her experience with cancer on September 11, 2001 - yes 9/11, the same day the United States and the world was turned upside down. The diagnosis of breast cancer was delivered October 1, 2001. It was a long, challenging experience and it was not an easy process. After two surgeries, two rounds of chemotherapy, and 25 days of radiation treatment- one year of treatment had come to an end. With God, the greatest family support system which included her mom, the hospital posse and a special friend (now husband), Pastor Rhonda was able to maintain her faith and positive attitude.During that year, Pastor Rhonda met some dynamic people who were going through the cancer process with her. Meeting these wonderful positive people helped the process to be tolerable. They kept up with each others treatment schedules and shared cancer stories which eased anxiety and tension, and developed friendships that will last forever.
Pastor Rhonda was determined to share the same type of support with those newly diagnosed and thus began Celebrate Life Cancer Ministry.
